In this edition tip lots of cool artisan crafts thumbs and a small interview.
A small tip</strong>
I know many people have said this before me and no doubt it will continue to be discussed, however I would like to address this again in this edition. Please please please people, out of respect for your own work you owe it to yourself to present it well. We are all aware that it is not only about the photograph, but it's presentation, which if done with thought and pride in our work, can make the photograph stand out and lift it to a higher level.
For example, what makes a difference between a housewife and a cook? Their whole presentation!! The time, effort and care which they put into the finer detail. I know many housewives who can cook as well as any chef. So in my opinion it isn't merely a question of the quality of your work but of respecting your own effort and presenting it at it'd best!
For example if you are submitting a jewel, ensure the focus is on the actual jewel and not the model wearing it. Put some light on your jewel so it stands out from its surroundings. Everybody has some black fabric somewhere, try presenting your craft on that ... you exclude all the surroundings (such as windows etc), place your craft nicely on it, put a spot light on it, focus your picture and voila! it will instantly make a hell of a difference! Pretty simple huh?! Sooo !!! No excuses your craft surely worthy of a nice presentation
Here is an example how you can nicely presenting jewels to give an idea what I mean and they can be applied to most craft
Of course as always there are many ways. This is just a suggestion Someone asked me about this, I thought perhaps more might be interested.
Al right al right lets get to all those yummylicious looking crafts

A small interview with a crafts deviant

Name: Berckmans Robin
Age: I am currently 30
Residence: live in leuven / Belgium
Art education: My art education consists of only four years of evening classes in sculpting that's these last four years and decided to quite the last two for most of it will simply be how I developed my skill and style on my own ...
Current profession: my current profession is welder making interior for big chain stores and is the reason why I lean heavily towards metal art.
Website:No website this deviantart site functions for that and is far more easy to set up and maintain
When/where/how did you discover deviantART?
I discovered it through some ones profile on a dating site hehehe and funnier even about that was that it was a dating site for gamers on which they had pic's of them self in game characters costumes!
What inspires you to post your artwork on deviantART?
reason I joined and stuck to this site is that its a very cool and handy way of letting my art get in contact with the rest of the world and to get critique from other fellow crafters
Where do you find inspiration?
My main inspiration has always been the more classic arts. The art form that sticks out most to me is art nouveau! Mucha is my big idol in that form or Horta. For the rest basically every little detail I notice around me that I like that catches my eye...
What is your favourite deviation from your gallery and why?
The piece I am most proud of, which goes under the name demonology because I am still working on it and thus picking a final name is not of the order yet, its the piece I think that stands out the most in all categories most people will look at that first, cause it reflects my development the most and its my pieces so far that has challenged me the most and the most personal touch that is going into it I have been on and of working on it for more than two years so it has grown the most on me I guess ...
Which artisan crafts deviant do you look up to and why?
:thumb6107822:
its such nicely crafted jewellery with such beauty and character and I guess cause its the one area I haven't done anything really in but would love do too ...
The artist on DA I look the most up to is Artgerm
his style and technique to paint is just gorgeous and mind blowing!
Tips and tricks of the trade! Tips that you picked up from your own experience and you find useful?
Tips and tricks hmmm don't know I can only encourage people to try metal art it is far less difficult than it seems the only thing that really hold back is the machinery and tools that is necessary for it and it can be a dirty job too owh and always get good advice about safety issues too cause some of the machinery involve working with gas or flames so ...
Do you think you will ever reach the top of your creativity?
hehehe getting to the top of my creativity I am not a very ambitious person I take small steps one by one and evaluate each one before taking the next one so for me the journey is more important than getting at the highest point also I've never considered myself being someone with a vast imagination my art is organic a build up of detail elements and little ideas. I never work out what I am going to make no drawings or such so my work is more a patchwork of things I love than a creation of my imagination.
Anything else you would like to include?
I wish people would value the art of sculpting more ,I feel it gets too under appreciated!
Thanks for your nice interview DragonovRonin

Studio Photography
Studio photography is easy because you can get exactly what you want but for those reasons Studio photography is hard as you can get exactly what you want. Soft light, hard light, hair light, background. Everything is under your control.
A lot of people claim to not use a studio when they set up their picture in their kitchen with the use of paper and other material. Personally I really don't care how you did it. As soon as you assemble an environment where you have control over lightning and background than heck you are doing "studio" I really hope people start seeing things a bit wider. It isn't professional counter amateur it is taking pi
